Herb garden

Finally got around to uploading a bunch of photos. One gallery includes my backyard herb garden for this year. I had my parents' help in clearing out tons of brush on the side of my house and in my backyard. I planted 3 varieties of rosemary, 2 varieties of sage, an oregano plant, a thyme plant, and a bundle of spearmint. I planted a bunch of basil seeds, but didn't have any luck in getting them going since the heat wave struck around the time they got planted, and they never seemed to go anywhere. I haven't actually taken any clippings from the garden yet--I'm still not exactly sure how to cut the plants to keep damage to them low. I need to do a little bit of research I'm guessing. The full gallery is here.

The photo on the left is of the garden right after it was planted (July 3rd or 4th). The photo on the right was taken today, around 2 months later

Your herb garden looks great. Will show Grandma Caruso later. She will be proud you. You may have some sucess with sweet basil if you grow it inside in a pot. Love, Grandpa Caruso

Herb Garden

Kevin - the herb garden looks fabulous! Your grandma would be proud! The little gnomes look like they're sleeping on the job. Cut the rosemary into springs, tie them together with string and hang upside down in your kitchen. They add a wonderful aroma to the kitchen as they dry. Do not let the weeds grow back - next time that job will kill me!
